Combining a timeless alpine-inspired design with a classic fit, the Giro Talon snow helmet lets you cover the whole mountain with confidence. As with all Giro helmets, the Talon is built for comfort and performance. The hard-shell helmet features a durable plastic shell laminated to an EPS foam liner, providing a consistent performance across a wide range of conditions. Gram for gram, EPS liners absorb more impact energy than other liner materials, plus they're incredibly light. The helmet also features six passive vents with removable vent covers, so you can easily regulate the temperature around your head. Add in support for the Giro Slalom chin bar and you have a helmet that's ideal for skiers who like it steep and deep.

The Talon is the product of Giro's Super-Fit Engineering design process. Every new Giro product is designed with reference to the company's database of anatomic measurements and rider input. Giro then tests the design repeatedly in the lab and in the hands of riders, gathering feedback and making refinements every step of the way. The Talon helmet is available in six classic sizes: XS (52 to 53.5 cm), S (53.5 to 55.5 cm), M (55.5 to 57cm), L (57 to 59 cm), XL (59 to 60.5 cm), and XXL (60.5 to 62.5 cm).

Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985.
